Our aim at York Wheatlands Caravan Site is to provide a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated touring site of the highest quality in terms of environment and facilities to give all our customers an enjoyable and relaxing holiday experience. In order to do that, we ask for your support with the following:
Arrivals cannot access the site until after 1pm. We are a small site with a dual entry and departure access. Before 1pm, there is nowhere to park your car and caravan, or motorhome, on site or on the road outside so please plan your journey accordingly to arrive after 1pm.
After payment of your booking you will be sent a gate access code for the wooden gate. You will need to enter this gate code on arrival so please make sure you have this with you. You will need to close the gate after you have entered the site to maintain site security.
You are permitted to park on any vacant pitch (1-5 for £20 per night serviced pitch, or 6-15 for £18 per night grass pitch for trailer tents or tents). You must pitch with the rear offside corner to the red peg (see drawing below). If you park in any other way we will have to ask you to move your unit and pitch as requested.
Please vacate your pitch by 12.00pm on the day of departure.
Vacated pitches must be left clear of all property and refuse left in the bins provided.
Please drive carefully and slowly on the site at all times and take care when leaving the site as pedestrians sometimes use the grass verge that runs across the entrance/exit.
Only one vehicle per pitch is permitted. There is no additional parking on site for guests or visitors.
Please ensure the wooden access gate is closed behind you when arriving or leaving the site.
Vehicle charging (including motor vehicles, scooters and mobility scooters) is not permitted unless by prior arrangement and is charged at a flat rate of £18 per day.
Well behaved dogs are welcome on site. Dogs must be kept on a lead of no more than two metres at all times.
Dog poo should be collected, bagged appropriately and disposed of in the bins provided.
Barbecues (gas and charcoal) are permitted but must be raised off the ground enough to reduce fire risk and grass damage. They must also be sited well away from camping units. Fires or fire pits are not allowed under any circumstances.
If possible please avoid using groundsheets. If you do please use open textured breathable groundsheets only. Please do not use integrated, non breathable groundsheets.
It is not permitted to use electric heaters in awnings at any time.
Out of respect for other clients and our neighbours, we ask that noise is kept to a minimum at all times and we ask for complete quiet from 10.00pm until 8.00am.
Loud music or radios are not permitted at any time.
Generators are not permitted at any time.
It is forbidden to fly kites, model aircraft or drones on or near the site due to the presence of pylons and electric cables. The use of catapults, air guns, firearms or bows and arrows is also strictly prohibited.
Please dispose of rubbish, waste water and chemical waste as directed.
You are strongly advised to be equipped with a suitable BS/EN3 approved fire extinguisher or blanket in your unit at all times in case of fire.
Caravans and vehicles enter the site at the owner’s risk. No responsibility is accepted for loss, damage or injury on the site, however caused. We strongly advise guests check that they have appropriate insurances for the period of their stay.
Accidents or damage to site property must be reported to the park owners immediately.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or ask any guest failing to comply with these rules to leave the park immediately without refund.
Ball games or racket sports are not permitted on site at any time.
Please avoid spilling any chemicals or boiling water on the grass.
Grey waste water should be collected and disposed of at the Elson point, not routed into the grass or hedges.
The site is for the quiet enjoyment of holiday makers and visitors to the local area. We reserve the right to refuse entry or to ask guests who cannot abide by the rules to leave the site immediately without a refund
Washing motorhomes/caravans or cars on site is prohibited.
